Words are powerful, especially when meant to be weaonized against someone. No matter what words are hurled your way, you always have a choice on how to respond. You may even have a delayed response like me, and that’s okay, too. Sometimes we don’t realize until much later, that the words disguised as compliments, were actually arrows aimed at the center of our heart. Sometimes the arrows fly towards us engulfed in flames and make no effort to hide their intent. These “words” are arrows I have collected throughout my life, each with its own lasting scar. Hurting people, hurt people. Healing people, heal people. Let my testimony be a light in the dark. The only words I listen to are the ones that align with what He says about me. Your hate is none of my business. It is THE most potent fuel, though. Hope you like fire, because that’s what burns in my soul. You thought your words were gasoline, intended to burn me to the ground. Instead, they’ve set ablaze my fire, to illuminate the darkness for the voiceless.
