Too many dog owners are making this mistake......... Did you know there is a proper way to stuff your dog's Kong Toy? Are you still stuffing random treats inside? Kong toys are great for mental stimulation to keep your dog engaged and to tire them out. Imagine how long your dog could engage if your Kong is stuffed properly. So we're here to help! Here are 4 steps to properly stuff a Kong. Be sure to SAVE this to refer back to later! 😎 🐶 Choose the right filling Start by selecting an appropriate food filling for your dog’s Kong toy. You can use a mixture of dry and wet dog food or any other treats that your dog enjoys eating. 🐶 Fill it up Use a butter knife or spoon to fill the Kong toy, gently pushing the filling to the bottom. Add more filling until it is level with the opening. 🐶 Seal it tight Use a small amount of peanut butter, or any other sticky substance, to seal the hole in the Kong toy. This will prevent the filling from falling out too quickly and also add another tasty treat for your dog to enjoy. 🐶Give it to your dog to enjoy Give the Kong toy to your dog and let him enjoy the treat. You can also freeze the stuffed Kong toy for a few hours before giving it to your dog for an extra challenge and longer-lasting stimulation. Additional Tips: 👉🏾 1. Select the right size of Kong Make sure you choose a Kong that is the appropriate size for your dog. There are different sizes of Kongs available for different breeds and sizes of dogs. If the Kong is too small, your dog may choke on it. If it's too big, they may not be able to play with it properly. 👉🏾 Dishwasher Safe? Yes, your Kong is dish washer safe. Use a toothbrush to get the insides and pop it in your dishwasher. Why does my dog check in and then look away again? It can be easy to think the check-in “didn’t count” because your dog immediately went back to watching what was around them.
