Postpartum OOTD when I’m not leaving the house but I still want my husband to think I’m cute 💁🏼‍♀️ @Gap @Bombas #postpartumbody #postpartumstyle #postpartumootd #momsoftiktok #newmom

One year ago, fires tore through our home and our neighborhood. I was eight weeks pregnant and coming off one of the happiest years of my life…newly married, fresh off our epic honeymoon, and beginning to imagine how we’d bring a baby into our beachside home in the Palisades. Then, in an instant, everything changed. I remember the long nights glued to the TV, watching the coverage, hoping to catch a glimpse of our street. It took Chris biking miles down the coastline, through thick smoke, to learn that the home we had so lovingly built had caught fire. This year was hard..really hard.. We were forced to face monumental change while I carried new life inside of me. Our life in the Palisades feels both like yesterday and forever ago, and the fires sit like an ugly scar in my memory. After our daughter was born, I felt myself softening…I was finally able to release the future I once imagined there and begin making space for a new one, in a place we haven’t yet chosen. A much-needed fresh start with our baby. Returning to the Palisades still hurts. I was only brave enough to do it for the first time two months ago. Such a vibrant, beautiful place just gone. I’m endlessly grateful to the firefighters, our family and friends, and the resilient Palisades community. I know we will come back stronger and I can’t wait to move back, kids in tow, in a few years. For now, I’m happy to be in the beginning pages of a new chapter, with my husband and baby girl by my side. She has truly been the light at the end of the tunnel 🤍 #palisadesfire #palisadesfires #pacificpalisades #LAfires #palisadesstrong

Not for everyone, but it works for us 😏 If motherhood has taught me anything, it’s that there’s more than one way to be an amazing mom 🩷 #hottakes #firsttimemom #newmom #girlmom #momsoftiktok
