(Writing prompt) Ghost had felt it in his bones long before tonight that one man in their unit carried a darkness he couldn’t name, only sense. So when he heard the single, panicked gunshot echo through the barracks, he was already running. He found her on the ground beside the cot, hands trembling around the pistol, eyes wide and wet as the man she’d feared lay bleeding at her feet. “He tried I didn’t mean to” she choked out, voice breaking under shock. Ghost knelt in front of her, gently prying the weapon from her shaking grip, his tone low and steady. “You defended yourself. You did nothing wrong.” When he stood, the wounded man groaned, reaching weakly for another weapon. Ghost didn’t hesitate one clean shot, swift and final. He turned back to her, lifting her into his arms before she could even look at the body again. “That weight isn’t yours to carry,” he murmured against her hair. “I’ll take it from here.” #fyp#callofdutycosplay#maskedman#acting#ghostcallofduty
