Truly one of the kind. There's quite nothing like an ornate Eastlake door with hand painted stained door ❤️ #architecturalsalvage #deadpeoplesstuffarchitecturalantiques #fyp #stainedglass #antique

When we found this stained glass window in England, it wasn't perfect. Over the course of its life, a few pieces had been lost. Time had left its mark, and there were gaps where glass once lived. Usually, when a piece like this arrives, we're asked how much it will cost to restore it. But this time was different. A couple walked into the shop, fell completely in love with it, and asked us to frame it exactly as it was...missing pieces, cracks, flaws, and all. I'll admit, I was hesitant. We're so accustomed to repairing and making things whole again that it was hard to imagine leaving it untouched. Then our team finished framing it. And I understood. Every missing piece became part of its story. Every imperfection was a reminder that it had survived a long journey to get here. It's far from perfect, but that's exactly what makes it one of a kind. Sometimes beauty isn't found in what was restored, it's found in what remains. #architecturaldesign #architecturalsalvage #stainedglass #fyp #deadpeoplesstuffarchitecturalantiques
