Hi SupPAWters! For #SundayFunday we bring to you some behind the scenes content, a glimpse into what your future could look like if you adopt a rescue dog (or cat!). Here at DAW we work hard AND play hard (and nap hard @shirnol_aka_silly & @angelique_loub 😉) Our days are filled with puppy cuddles, tail wags, tiny toofies and happy smiles; bathtime, PAWsome selfies and secret kisses between FURiends. And don’t forget about the kitty love and our very special farm animals and emu’s. SupPAWters, animal rescue is hard work and most days also heartbreaking. But man, seeing these happy goofy faces makes everything worthwhile! And with your continued supPAWt all of this is possible 💙 PAWlease enjoy the video / slides ➡️➡️➡️ and try not to smile, I dare you! 😉 Lots of love, Liesl DAW Administrator Richelle our Director can be so proud! . . . @angelique_loub @richellethebutterfly #animalrescue #adoptdontshop #animallovers #rescue #rescuedogsofinstagram #dogs #dogsofinstagram #animals #animalsanctuary #safehaven #love #puppy #puppies #fun #volunteer

Finally SupPAWters, the PUPdate you’ve all been waiting for!! DC has had her surgery and it was a success, such a big operation for our special pibble beauty! The surgical repair of her luxating patella involved: • The point of attachment of the patellar ligament to the shin bone is moved to its proper location. • The groove in the femur is deepened so the patella can stay in place. • The capsule around the joint is tightened. When the patella luxates, the joint capsule stretches; tightening it helps to prevent the patella from luxating again. But an implant or plate was placed on the inside of the knee, making the patella unable to slip over it. This means that after 6-8 weeks of rehabilitation and physio, DC will regain full use of her leg again. We are exceptionally honored to have such an incredible team of vets at @malmesbury_dierehospitaal and to Dr. Duandri for helping us make all of this possible. And we are eternally grateful to the physiotherapist who has offered DC's therapy pro-bono, just because DC is too irresistible 🤭 But we have immense gratitude to our vital suppawters whom without none of this would have been possible in the first place, THANK YOU SO MUCH to our very kind and generous donors 💙 You all saved a life! And there is no better reward than seeing our beautiful DC have a chance at full recovery, and then also hopefully finding her fur'ever family, maybe it's one of you?
