Latest tour dates! Hope you can make it to a show somewhere. All tickets are available via my website. Thanks!

It’s no Oscar winning Irish performance but I did manage to wiggle my way onto @comicsunleashedes airing tonight on CBS and Paramount+. Jessie Buckly would have put way more enthusiasm into the walk out! :). Cheers and happy nearly St. Patrick’s Day to ya. Remember if you see some Paddy, say some Paddy. It’s no Oscar winning Irish performance but I did manage to wiggle my way onto @comicsunleashedes this week on CBS and Paramount+. If I have learned anything from a few years in Latin America it’s that Irish and Latinos are pretty much one and the same so we best embrace it! I love Latin culture and lived in Latin America for 2 years. Irish soldiers fought on behalf of Mexico in 1846. The group were called the San Patricios. Numerous schools, churches & landmarks are named after them and that is a hat to this. The character of Zorro was inspired by William Lamport from Co. Wexford in Ireland. An illegal immigrant ahead of his time. Che Guevaras lineage goes back to Galway. Che’s father, Ernesto Guevara Lynch, was always proud of his Irish roots Referring to Che’s “restless” nature, his father said “the first thing to note is that in my son’s veins flowed the blood of the Irish rebels”. Many streets in South America are named after (Ambrose) O’Higgins son, the Irish born viceroy of Peru. His son Bernardo O’Higgins served as the supreme director of Chile for 6 years and was one of the countries founding fathers. His dad was Irish. The Argentine Navy was setup by William Brown, born in Mayo, Ireland. The academy of Medicine in Montevideo & the first medical school in Buenos Aires were set up by Irishman Miguel O’Gorman. Argentina and Uruguay alone took in 50k Irish immigrants when we had the great famine in Ireland. #standupcomedy #comedy #irish #latino

My favourite movie growing up by miles. I even had the official jumper with all the translated slang for foreign friends. Irish people have always thought we are kind of black :). I even worked in the club in Dublin where a number of the scenes were filmed (The Palace on Camden St.). Here I founded myself trying to explain this rather confused Irish American in Alabama :) I know these folks were a soul band but jazz makes it easier to explain within the content of this longer bit. Pardon the intentional slip of the tongue! Jazz was created from the fusion of Black and Irish culture and I think that fusion never made soul seem too big a leap :) #standup #comedy #irish

New Taking Tangents tour dates just added and on sale now! I've taken a lot of tangents across 19 countries and over 120 shows so far, so I might as well take a few more :). This last tour leg runs until early April. I figure if you are going to make fun of something on occasion, at least do it in an informed manner, so by the end of this tour I’m hoping to be the first Irish-born comedian to headline a show in every US state. 43 down, 7 to go. If folks could stop renaming places and claiming new territories, that would be most helpful. Many thanks to those of you who've come along to live shows so far and recommended it to friends. Much appreciated! For those who haven't been able to make it, I'll be recording this show in March at the epic spot that is the Throckmorton Theatre, Mill Valley, CA, and it should be available to stream somewhere on the interwebs by the end of July. If you came to the show already and enjoyed it, please comment below and let me know! If you have a friend who you think might enjoy it in any of these cities, please do share it with them. Nearly all these dates are on sale now via my website, davidnihill.com. Please go specifically to my website and don’t Google “David Nihill tour dates” to avoid scammers and resellers and get the cheapest tickets. Cheers, and hope to see you somewhere soon! Your support is greatly appreciated, and thanks for listening to my lunacy. Is your city missing? I’ve already toured this show across most major cities where I had enough requests to do so. If you don’t see your city, I was already there, don’t have enough requests to go there (you can help change that by requesting a show on my website), or just ran out of time to get there! Please join my email list and you’ll always be the first to know when I add shows and before it’s announced on social media. Cheers!

Still my favourite bit of language learning. I love Brazil and have been trying to learn Brazilian Portuguese for a while. All shortcuts have been most welcome. Crossfitchee, David-gee, Milkyee Shakee, Foodgee Truckee, Foochee ball, this pattern keeps going 😀. My favorite Brazilian band name is Natiruts, a Grammy-nominated Reggae group meaning natural roots and pronounced: natchee-hootchees. I’m back on tour with over 50 cities on sale now. Please do come see a live show! Cheers/Muito obridago #standup #comedy #standupcomedy #brazil #languagelearning
