There was a reason I wrote this song. 💙 Because behind the word “Dad” is a man who can be struggling with things that nobody else can see. The dad who misses his kids when the house goes quiet. The dad who’s lost his way but is trying to find it again. The dad who sits alone with his thoughts and tells everyone he’s fine because he doesn’t know how to explain what’s really going on. The dad who’s exhausted. The dad who’s hurting. The dad who’s carrying things he’s never told anyone about. And sometimes, just getting through today is an achievement. I wanted “Dads Like Us” to be a reminder that you don’t have to have everything figured out. You don’t have to pretend you’re okay every second. You don’t have to carry everything completely alone. Because somewhere out there, there’s another dad who understands. Different stories. Different circumstances. Different roads. Different scars. But sometimes… the same fight. This song is for the dads who are still here. The dads who are still fighting. The dads who are still showing up. And most importantly, the dads who need reminding that they don’t have to fight alone. 💙 “Dads Like Us” — 25.09.26 🎵 If you’re a dad who’s struggling, I hope this song reaches you when you need it most. And if you know a dad who might need to hear this… send it to him. ❤️ #DadsLikeUs #DadStillFighting #MensMentalHealth #SingleDads #DadsSupportingDads
Sometimes you don’t need someone to fix everything. You just need someone to notice that you’re struggling. Because there are dads out there who are carrying more than anyone knows. Dads who are exhausted. Dads who are hurting. Dads who miss their kids. Dads who are struggling with their mental health. Dads who have become really good at saying “I’m fine” when they’re anything but. And sometimes that weight becomes too much to carry on your own. That’s why I believe dads need dads. Not judgement. Not lectures. Not someone telling you to “man up”. Just someone saying: “I’ve got you, brother.” That’s what the line in this song means to me: “And when one of us is drowning, the rest will pull him up.” Because none of us should have to fight alone. 💙 Different stories. Different circumstances. Different roads. But sometimes the same fight. Dads Like Us — 25.09.26 🎵 If you’re a dad who’s still fighting, leave a 💙 below. And if you know another dad who might need reminding that someone has his back, send this to him. #DadsLikeUs #DadStillFighting #MensMentalHealth #SingleDads #DadsSupportingDads
Who is “Dads Like Us” for? It’s for the dad who’s missed his kids. The dad who’s lost his way. The dad who’s sitting silently, trying to work out how he’s going to get through another day. It’s for the dad who looks completely fine from the outside but is fighting battles nobody can see. It’s for the dad who feels like he’s falling behind. The dad who’s struggling to keep everything together. The dad who doesn’t know how to put into words what’s going on inside his head. And it’s for the dad who might be reading this right now thinking: “That’s me.” You don’t have to explain yourself. You don’t have to pretend everything is okay. And you definitely don’t have to fight alone. There are more dads out there feeling the same things than you probably realise. Different stories. Different circumstances. Different roads. But sometimes the same fight. 💙 That’s why I wrote Dads Like Us. 25.09.26 🎵 If any of these words describe you, you don’t have to tell your whole story. Just leave a 💙. Someone else might see it and realise they’re not alone either. #DadsLikeUs #DadStillFighting #MensMentalHealth #SingleDads #DadsSupportingDads
