I remember impatiently awaiting the birth of my first born son, imagining the things I could teach you and pass on to you before I left this earth. I never once thought that I would lose you, never once imagined I would help your mama pick out your casket, your headstone, choose your funeral songs, write your obituary and have to sit graveside as we watched our son being lowered into the ground. I have always been so proud of you, always thanked God that you were my son, I've even asked Him how I got so lucky to have you as my boy. I wish I could have given you more time on Earth, traded places with you so you could live longer, so you could have a family of your own, so you could be here to watch over your mama and little brother. I will always be eternally sorry I couldn't give you the long life you so rightfully deserved. I will always be grateful and thankful for the time I had with you.
