For those that were curious what the sheet music looked like, here it is 😊 In Navajo culture, we believe in different types of rain. This is "Female Rain," my piano piece inspired by the life-giving rains in Navajo tradition. Close your eyes, listen, and tell me what this rain feels like to you. #piano #classicalmusic #navajo #nativetiktok #instrumental

From my album Across the Desert: The Long Walk Home, this is Shikéyah Nízhónée Bínáashniih — a traditional Navajo song, arranged for orchestra and sung by @joshy_squashy_dashijinoo . Believed to come from the Long Walk era, it carries memories of our beautiful, sacred homeland. My goal as a Diné composer is to bring these songs into dialogue with classical music, so they can be heard and remembered in new ways. Close your eyes, listen, and tell me what this music makes you feel. #piano #classicalmusic #navajo #nativetiktok #instrumental
