👉🏽Sanballat is the Horonite who mocked and ridiculed Nehemiah the entire time he was rebuilding😒‬ You see, after God granted Nehemiah success and favor to go rebuild what was ruined, he faced opposition as soon as his enemies heard about it. There were those who taunted and threatened the rebuilding constantly. The Bible says ten times over they were told they would be attacked wherever they turned. They laughed at what Nehemiah and those who assisted were building… basically calling it trash🚮 But I realized that Nehemiah was so confident in his assignment that he held firmly to what he was called to do…..so firmly that they ended up building with one hand and carrying a weapon with the other. “Those who carried materials did their work with one hand and held a weapon in the other, and each of the builders wore his sword at his side as he worked.”😮‍💨 ‭‭Nehemiah‬ ‭4‬:‭17‬-‭18‬ ‭NIV‬ Basically they had to build while ready to fight. They had to swing with one arm 👊🏽and build with the other🪚. Some of you are in this same boat as Nehemiah and I. God granted you favor to go and build the things he has placed on your heart and just as you are starting to build the thing your enemies are taunting, mocking, and ridiculing. Constantly meeting you with threats and plans to attack all you put your hands to—Sanballats. They want to kill the very thing you are trying to rebuild and put an end to your work…. “So the wall was completed on the twenty-fifth of Elul, in fifty-two days. When all our enemies heard about this, all the surrounding nations were afraid and lost their self-confidence, because they realized that this work had been done with the help of our God.”😂🤭🤏🏽 ‭‭Nehemiah‬ ‭6‬:‭15‬-‭16‬ ‭NIV‬‬ The scripture speaks for itself, but let me encourage you anyways and say that the very thing you are building won’t just go up in the face of your enemies, but it will go up QUICKLY because of the help of GOD!👏🏽 They can ridicule, they can talk about it, they can taunt you, they can complain, they can threaten you, they can try to distract you, but be ready for war with one hand and ready to build with the other. This season is called building under pressure💪🏽😜. Don’t let those that the enemy is using to taunt you stop you from building. Dont let it distract you from putting together the very thing God granted you favor to build. I can imagine the building was hard for them. It’s easier to build when you have both hands, but when the enemy doesn’t back down, you have to improvise. When they all hear about how quickly what you have built went up, they will be afraid because they will realize that the hand of the Lord is with you.
