In Kalangala district, women and young people face significant barriers to accessing timely, confidential and quality post-abortion care due to geographical isolation, long travel distances, lack of information and social stigma. These delays lead to preventable health complications and strain vulnerable families. COHERINET is partnering with Kalangala Health Centre and Equino Pharmacy to connect community networks directly to health facilities and the Aunt KAKI toll-free helpline. This initiative will enable women and young people to access appropriate post-abortion care services safely and promptly. This collaboration will strengthen health providers' capacity, enhance referral pathways and improve continuity of care, ensuring no one is left behind due to distance, information gaps or weak service linkages.
