Hasbro gave us an undeniable masterclass in locomotive engineering with that steam-train mode, complete with working side rods and smoke effects, and then spent the rest of the budget everywhere else. Transforming those kibbly legs through a forest of over-engineered parts just to end up with a stubby shuttle and a robot mode that looks like it skipped upper-body day is an experience.
