My name is Dalton Brown. Over the last several months, years, and even when I was younger, I experienced hard times. I remember telling myself when I was younger that when I grew up, I wanted to help others and make a difference so no child would have to endure some of the same challenges I faced. Now, as I get closer to 40 and have children of my own, I believe that passion to help other children is more important than ever. Every story you see on the news or Facebook about another child who has left this world far too soon is something you never forget. I believe a big part of the issue is that things like this are not discussed with children at such a young age. So I asked myself: How can we have these important conversations while still respecting their young and wondrous minds? I believe you’ll find in this children’s book not only important lessons that we can talk about with our children, but also hope and inspiration that we can make a change and be the difference.
