Many animals admitted to the SPCA aren’t just thin, they’re starving. 💔 Starved of food also means being starved of care, love – everything they need to thrive. 🐾 Nourishing food is essential to restoring their health – physically and emotionally – and it happens one healthy meal at a time. 🍽️💙 Please help! 🙏 Sponsor food at https://pulse.ly/lkfxqwrxj7 now – show your love for animals. #EatWoofLove #Food4Animals #FoodFeedsTrust #Food4Healing

We are coming to you live from Silvertown, where our Inspectorate team, led by Inspector Rodney, is currently executing a court order to remove multiple animals from a property following serious and ongoing animal welfare concerns. The person responsible for these animals describes themselves as an animal rescuer. But calling yourself a rescuer comes with a responsibility to provide animals with the care and conditions they need. Good intentions cannot justify poor welfare. Our Inspectors have been engaging with the owner for some time. Multiple warnings were issued and numerous opportunities were given to address the concerns identified by our team. Those warnings were not complied with. When warnings fail and animals continue to be kept in unacceptable conditions, we have a responsibility to act. The Cape of Good Hope SPCA therefore approached the court and obtained an order authorising the removal of the animals. Today, Inspector Rodney and our team are here to execute that court order and remove the animals from these conditions. We will take you with us as the operation unfolds and show you what our Inspectors encounter on the property.

𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗜𝗥 𝗗𝗔𝗬 ❤️ You don’t have to adopt an animal to make a difference in their life. For the dogs in our care, something as simple as a walk, some playtime, a little affection or the opportunity to explore outside their kennel can mean so much. That’s where our incredible volunteers come in. ❤️ Volunteering at the Cape of Good Hope SPCA gives our dogs valuable 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 while they wait for their forever homes. And the reward goes both ways. There’s something incredibly special about seeing an excited tail when you arrive, helping a nervous dog build confidence, and knowing that for that moment, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿. 🐶 Come walk a dog. 🐾 Give them some stimulation. ❤️ Give them some love.
