⚡ Hot tub owners, this one’s a shock hazard waiting to happen. We found a 50-amp hot tub circuit wired with an incorrect two-wire setup, and someone had added an extra neutral as a makeshift fix. That’s not code, and it’s not safe. A hot tub needs a proper four-wire system: two hots, a neutral, and a ground. Without it, your GFCI protection can’t do its job, and that’s a real risk of electric shock around water. Here’s what the fix looks like: ✅ Inspect the hot tub-side connection to see how that neutral is terminated ✅ Replace the wiring with compliant four-wire cable ✅ Test that the GFCI breaker trips and resets correctly Hot tub wired by a previous owner or “a guy who knew a guy”?
