In May of 2024, the weekend of a huge storm, I pulled into my Mom’s driveway to check on her animals, as she was in the ER (she is fine now), and before I even opened my car door I heard the screeching sounds of a kitten in distress. It was raining hard and more was due to come. I quickly found Peter and his sibling and rushed into action. I really believe in divine intervention in these circumstances. They think he was only a few days old when he was dropped and certainly wouldn’t have made it through the night. His sibling had unfortunately passed when I found them and Peter was clinging to him searching for any kind of warmth. I don’t usually keep my rescues, but this boy really won my heart. I’ve given many of my bottle babies to good homes and it’s always so hard. But, I couldn’t let little Peter go ❤️ #catdistributionsystem #catsoftiktok #rescuekitten #feelgood #happyrescue #animalrescuestory #kittensoftiktok #rescuekitten #adopt #adoptdontshop #adoption #fosterfail #fosterkittens #fosteringsaveslives #fosterkittensoftiktok

Added some mini lotus to my client’s 10 gallon nano tank. These guys can actually get pretty ginormous like the larger Red Lotus so they’ll need maintenance like any other aquatic plant. BUT my favorite thing about these plants is watching their leaves change color when they mature and get proper light exposure. The substrate is #fluval stratum with black aquarium sand on top, of course some flourish tabs mixed in with the stratum. (I forgot to level out the substrate at front of tank before these were taken which is my total weirdo pet peeve but hope the rest of you don’t mind) #bettafish #betta #bettatank #bettatok #aquascape #nanoscape #nanotank #nanoaquarium #minilotus #redlotus #aquariumplants #corydoras #corydora #sterbaicorydoras #bacopamonnieri #fluvalstratum #fluval #hygger

Stapelia gigantea, the Zulu plant, produces the most impressive blooms. The petals are meant to resemble flesh and have a pretty raw stench to accompany it, as their pollinators are FLIES! It’s actually related to the Corpse flower! One Summer it bloomed so many times at once, my ex-husband asked me to move it toward the back of the yard as to not bring flies close to the back door and inevitably inside the house. It wasn’t an entirely bad idea. This ginormous cluster started as a small cutting from my Dad’s best friend’s house after his friend passed away. When my Dad moved out of the country, he asked me to keep it and I was more than happy to. It’s grown probably 20x the original cutting size in around a decade. Weekly watering with tank water has kept her very happy ❤️ #zuluplant #stapeliagigantea #stapelia #corpseflower #garden #blooms #flowerbloom #succulent #succulentbloom
