It’s been a while. I’ve had some personal stuff going on since the beginning of this year involving my (now angel) doggy, so my skating is well and truly all over the place. I decided to take a step back from my lessons until i’ve achieved some of my personal goals in life after some setbacks I faced this year both personally and financially, but nonetheless i’m still practicing when I get the chance to. The technical side of things may not be 100% accurate since i’ve halted my lessons but i’m trying to find my joy for skating again after taking an (emergency should we call it?) break. Easing myself back in today with some sloppy backwards crossovers ⛸️🤍 #becskates #iceskating #skatingtiktok #figureskating #figureskatinguk #iceskatingprogress #fyp #beginnerfigureskater #figureskatingtiktok

Today I put my skates back on! After not skating for so long it was so nice to lace my skates up today and enjoy the simple pleasures of skating again. Everything was sloppy and my ankle strength has definitely taken a hit, however I had fun without putting pressure on myself for not being where I wanted to be skill-wise or being upset that i’d taken a step back from practicing as often as I used to. Skating should always be about having fun and enjoying yourself even if things aren’t going how you want them to, and today I did just that 🤍⛸️ - - - #becskates #beginnerfigureskater #beginnerfigureskating #figureskatingtiktok #figureskaterslife #iceskating #iceskatingtiktok

Hello! I bet you didn’t expect to see me again!😌 Life has been pretty full on since Summer 23, in both the best and not so best ways and I’ve really abandoned myself. Now that I’m having a fresh start with my job, I’ve decided why not make it a complete fresh slate and get back to what I enjoy doing - SKATING! I’m setting myself a mission to return to the ice once a week, even if it is just leisurely for now to really find that love again. I know I’ve said it a few times before but I really do want to get myself back into it, so I’m seeing my recent life experience as a complete refresh - starting here. It for SURE has been a while, I will be rusty (not that I ever was great but you get what I mean) so please go easy on me - I’m just a girl wanting to find her love for her hobby again. If you have any tips for staying motivated, please share for anyone struggling to get back into being active again🫶🏼 (ps, this vid is from December😅) #becskates #beginnerfigureskater #figureskating #iceskating #iceskatingtiktok #fyp #figureskatingtiktok
