Having an adventurous cat in a traveling home has been down right scary a few times. I legitimately thought I lost her for good but luckily we’ve learned our lesson and have done a few things to make sure we can find both her and Archie. We’ve been using an Apple AirTag to track the pets ever since they first came out. The major problem with them is that they only work if another iPhone is near by. All ears for some better, cost effective, options that have gps instead of just Bluetooth! Post script here.. most of this was filmed after I finally found her cause I was actually freaking the hell out most of the morning… I was out looking for her at 2 am the night before but thankfully I finally tracked her down. #buslife #vanlife #catsofinstagram #tinyhouse #buscat #busconversion #skoolielife

Buslife can be EXPENSIVE! Your bus will break down, but if you’re willing to get your hands dirty a DIYer can save a ton of money! How much? Watch the full video to find out. I had 4 breakdowns all within a few days, some related, and some not. With the help of some awesome friends, hours of YouTube, and ChatGPT (weird right?) I was able@to put all the pieces back and make this bus run better than when I first got it in 2017. All in I had to replace the lift pump, injection pump, have the ECM repaired, changed out the air governor, and replace some relays. We’ll worry about the oil leaks later… I did hire a Mobile mechanic to make sure I was seeing what I was seeing, but only for 3 hours which cost $400 (he gave me an hour for free). Massive thank you to @chuck.cassady for overnighting an injection pump and @woodstockonwheels for talking me off the ledge and letting me know what I was getting into! The road to buslife isn’t always an easy one, but it’s always been worth it, at least for me ❤️ #buslife #vanlife #dieselmechanic #diesel #tinyhouse #diy #skoolie
