In August 1994, the 108/215 Vtmbr launched a fierce assault on VRS positions at Donja Brka. The brigade struck hard against the defensive line, pushing through VRS positions as the fighting intensified. The VRS attempted to hold its ground, but the defense began to collapse under the pressure. Donja Brka fell in just one day. As the positions were overrun, the 108/215 Vtmbr captured large quantities of weapons, ammunition and military equipment, including a VRS tank. The attack forced the VRS from its positions and gave the ARBiH another hard-fought success on the Brčko front. The VRS line broke. Donja Brka fell. #brcko #zatebe #topvideo #bosnia #arbih On May 10, 1992, the Municipal Territorial Defense (TO) Headquarters in Brčko organized the city’s defense into four sectors and established a Rejon Headquarters with three reinforced companies drawn from surrounding villages: Gornji Rahić, Brka, and Maoča. From this structure, the 108th Brigade was officially formed on May 17, 1992, with 7,500 fighters. On March 8, 1993, the brigade was split into the 108th Motorized Brigade and the 108th HVO Infantry Brigade. The motorized brigade was later renamed the 215th Viteška (Knightly) Motorized Brigade on January 18, 1995. The brigade suffered approximately 600 killed, 3,780 wounded, 14 missing, and had 553 soldiers become war-disabled. It received two verbal commendations from General Sefer Halilović. By May 17, 1995, its soldiers had been awarded 28 Golden Lilies and a Silver Shield and by the end of the war, the brigade had earned 33 × Golden Lilies, 2 × Silver Shield, 1 × Order of the Golden Lily with Silver Wreath, 1 × Medal for Bravery, 5 × Golden Police Badge, 2 × Silver Police Star.
