September 24, 2025, I was scheduled to have the Roux-en-Y Gastric bypass, due to having acid reflux. When I woke up, I was told that I had the Gastric Sleeve. The Dr said the belly fat was too high and it would put too much tension on the intestines, if she stretched them too far, which could cause leakage. So far, I have had no issues with reflux a have been happy with my weight loss progress. #BariatricCommunity #weightlossjourney #gastricsleeve #vsg #bariatricsupport
