Five Negronis are on the menu at Ulivo, a candle-lit Italian restaurant in Park View, alongside meatballs with whipped ricotta and hot honey and saffron carbonara. Opened by a longtime D.C. resident in the old Capa Tosta space, Ulivo accepts walk-ins only Wednesday through Saturday and on the last Sunday of every month. There’s an outdoor patio and a colorful restroom. #dceats #thingstodoindc #parkviewdc #dcrestaurants #dcfood

When Granville Moore’s opened in 2007, it made waves. It only took months for the Belgian tavern to receive its first accolade, collecting many over their almost 20 year run. On October 31st, the H Street NE institution is closing its doors. That leaves one more Monday to get their half price mussels and mere days to partake in their kids happy hour. Inside the old office of Dr. Granville Moore, who provided pro bono work for those in need, Granville Moore’s will be missed by many. #hstreetdc #thingstodoindc #dcrestaurants #dceats #northeastdc

We unknowingly walk by stories every day. A big piece of U.S. history sits inside Wok & Roll, a Chinese/Japanese restaurant with karaoke rooms in D.C.’s Chinatown. Long before it was a restaurant, this 1843 building was a boarding house once run by Mary Surratt, who used the space to meet with the conspirators behind President Abraham Lincoln’s assassination. What seems like a simple restaurant holds stories of a dark time in this country’s history. #dchistory #ushistory #igdc #dcchasers #visitdc
