Composer Peter Brikmanis takes us inside his creation of the score for Stephanie Lake’s Seven Days, exploring how Bach’s music became the foundation for seven distinct variations, reimagined for the stage. 🎶 Created by an entirely Australian creative team, Seven Days will soon make its US debut in the Fall for Dance Festival held at New York City Center after we first performed it for Australian audiences in 2025 as part of Prism. Ahead of this, Orchestra Victoria sat down to record Peter’s score, conducted by Music Director and Chief Conductor Jonathan Lo in preparation for this special performance.
