Coming back from an injury isn’t about being cleared to play. It’s about trusting the injured side again. The comeback is quiet, unglamorous work: rebuilding strength, retraining movements the body used to trust, and relearning to plant, cut, and jump on that leg without a second thought. Ups and downs, and it takes patience. But rebuilding that confidence is what separates being cleared to play from being ready to perform. Our sports physical therapy team guides youth and high school athletes through the whole comeback, physically and mentally, until both sides feel like theirs again. It’s the same foundation behind our training that lowers injury risk and builds better athletes in every sport. Start with a 1-on-1 physical therapy evaluation (insurance or self-pay) or a Sports Science Assessment. Sports performance testing, training, and physical therapy in Portland, Oregon at APEX PWR in Tigard. DM us to start #sportsphysicaltherapy #portlandoregon #athletesoftiktok #injuryrecovery
Replying to @lionandthetruth Parenrs of youth athletes - PLEASE don’t burn your kid out having them in one sport early on in life and “specializing” There’s NONSTOP pressure too from “coaches” that should be there to help but rather are asking your kid to commit to one thing for the sake of “development” The best thing for a youth athlete is to play multiple sports and to get in a speed and stength training program. That will minimize their risk of burnout and overuse, non contact injury AND build their athletic foundation and potential! If you have questions, drop them in the comments! #parentsoftiktok #parentsofathletes #athletes #athletedevelopment
Replying to @KJ_Mmmkaymmmkay187626 parents of youth athletes, this is another PSA for you! This comment was another video we made but was refreshing to see Youth athlete development will begin and remain in the gym, away from the sport. That’s where you develop the athlete and build a foundation. Sport practice is where you improve the skill that rides on top of the athletic foundation. If you want your athlete to have more to showcase, build the athletic foundation along with the skill! #parentsoftiktok #parentsofathletes #athletedevelopment #athletes
