Tell me you’re a reptile parent without telling me you’re a reptile parent. 🐢💸 This week I spent $360 at the exotic vet because I was convinced my two tortoises had a massive worm infestation. I stared at their poop, saw long stringy things, and immediately panicked. The verdict after a very expensive fecal float? Negative. No worms. What I actually paid an exotic veterinarian to diagnose under a microscope was… undigested lettuce fiber. I literally paid someone to tell me my pets don’t chew their salads.🥬 ...I paid a specialist to analyze a piece of romaine lettuce. 🔬💩🥬 They are completely fine, completely clean, and completely oblivious to the fact that their regular lunch just cost me a car payment.
