That politician might actually have a point… Quick carpet repair in central London today, knee kicker and gripper in the backpack, and off we go! Rolls-Royces, Porsches, Aston’s… and one flooring contractor on a push scooter. Living the dream! 😂 To be fair, for a little repair job, it’s actually brilliant. ALTRO PISCES WET ROOM FLOORING INSTALLATION Done properly from existing vinyl uplift - to the final weld of the new safety floor A 2.5 × 2.5m disabled wet room with a shower area. Small room, plenty of work, and one decision that made the whole installation a little more interesting. Most people would probably go for a straight weld. I decided to give myself something else to think about… From uplifting the old vinyl, grinding the subfloor, repairing the walls and feather finishing, right through to fitting the cove former, applying AltroFix 19 adhesive, cap and cove installation and hot welding the safety vinyl. The biggest challenge? Finding the right position for the seam. Rather than running a straight weld through awkward areas, I chose a curved weld to work around the room’s features and keep the finished floor looking as clean as possible. Two days of preparation, cutting, fitting and welding for a room most people won’t give a second thought.
