ADHD and burn out. 🔥 Were more susceptible to severe burn out for many reasons. - difficulty regulating our emotions can mean it takes extra energy to process our feelings, even if they are feelings of excitement. – When we feel productive, we have a tendency to go overboard people always ask “ how come you’re always on the go” when the fact is they don’t see the crash and burn at the end of the day. – When we enter a state of hyperfocus, we can tend to simple self-care. Things life are getting to eat or drink. Water are common occurrence. - Our brains are on the go 24 seven. Even if we don’t look like we’re doing much that internal chatter can be extremely draining, especially when going through phases of burnout, needing the rest, but feeling so guilty about all of the things we should be doing. ##adhd##adhdburnout##adhdbelike##adhdcrash##MemeCut##Meme#MemeCut

Any other ADHD work extremely well under pressure? I’ve now learned I actually do my best work in the time immediately before a deadline. No matter how much I try to plan things in advance by the time it comes to the deadline I’ve redone it three or four times. 😣 So are you the ADHD that works well under pressure because that’s your best work? Or have you just got really good at improvising 😂 #adhd #adhdbelike #adhdpressure #adhdwork #adhdhyperfocus #adhddeadlines

Have you tried timing? Your tasks one thing about ADHD is that we can sometimes overestimate how long simple things take us. That pesky blindness works so many ways. I’d manage to convince my ADHD self that cleaning the bathroom would be a task that would take all day. Instead, I used Addie to help me break it down and timed it from start to finish not Only did this hold accountable, but it made me realise that a task I’ve been putting off for ages - Only took 45 minutes 🥺 #adhd #adhdwork #adhdpomodoro #pomodoro #timing #timeblindness #adhdtechniques
