Trying Crab Corner in Phuket, Thailand 🦀 — and this one definitely surprised me! First things first: the seafood was VERY fresh and everything came out looking amazing. We ordered the Cajun seasoning expecting the savory, buttery, spicy Cajun flavor we’re used to in the Southern U.S., but the flavor profile here was completely different. The sauce was noticeably sweet, which caught our entire group off guard because we were expecting something much more savory. It personally wasn’t our preference, but I think this is one of those places where knowing what to expect makes a big difference! My advice: if you’re visiting from the U.S. and craving a Southern-style Cajun seafood boil, don’t assume the “Cajun” flavor will taste the same. 📍 Swensen’s | Patong Beach, Phuket After trying ice cream at several spots around Thailand, Swensen’s was easily my favorite! 😍 A lot of the ice cream I tried was icy, but this was SO creamy and smooth! I honestly wasn’t expecting much from the matcha flavor. I thought it would be watered down with cream and sugar, but I was pleasantly surprised! The matcha tasted rich, bold, and premium, with that authentic matcha flavor I love. 🍵💚 If you’re visiting Patong Beach and love matcha, definitely add Swensen’s to your food stops! Where I stayed in Phuket, Thailand 🏡✨ 📍 Phuket, Thailand We booked this beautiful, modern Airbnb for a group trip celebrating my best friend’s birthday! 🎂🥂✨ And one thing about Thailand? Your money can go a LONG way when it comes to accommodations! 😍 The house comfortably accommodated all 4 of us, and the best part? We each had our OWN bedroom and private bathroom with a shower! 🛏️🚿✨ All that space and privacy for just $327 per person! A fraction of what we’d pay for a similar stay in the US. But here’s what the pictures don’t tell you! 👀 The water went out almost every day, the host was slow to respond and resolve the issue, and even with the AC running, the house still got surprisingly hot at times 🥵💧 My advice if you’re booking an Airbnb in Phuket: Don’t just fall in love with the photos! Read recent reviews, ask about water reliability and AC, and pay attention to what guests say about the host’s communication. Would I stay here again? Maybe, but ONLY if those issues were resolved!
