Are you using social media, or is social media using you? Yes, social media is essential for many of us today. It can help you build a personal brand, reach customers, grow your business, network and create opportunities. But the problem starts when a business tool becomes a constant source of distraction. Deep Work made me think about how easily we give away our attention without even noticing. You open Instagram to post something, and 30 minutes later you're still scrolling. You check one notification, and suddenly you're replying to messages that weren't even important. So the goal isn't necessarily to quit social media completely. Use it intentionally. Create. Connect. Build. Then get out. Because your attention is valuable. Protect it. So tell me, are you using social media, or do you feel like it's using you? #WhatAarohiReads #DeepWork #BookReviewinNepali #BookTok #SocialMedia
Why should you embrace boredom? We’ve become so used to constant stimulation. Waiting for the bus? Phone. Eating? YouTube. Standing in line? Instagram. Nothing to do? TikTok. The problem is that our brain starts expecting something interesting every few seconds. Then we sit down to study, work or create something important, and suddenly 20 minutes of focus feels impossible. That’s why Deep Work talks about embracing boredom. You don’t have to fill every quiet moment with your phone. Let yourself wait. Let yourself think. Let your mind be quiet. You can also schedule when you use the internet instead of checking it whenever you feel bored. The goal isn’t to never use your phone. The goal is to train your brain to be comfortable without constant stimulation. Because if you can control your attention, you can put that attention into learning, creating and doing work that actually matters. #WhatAarohiReads #DeepWork #BookReviewinNepali #BookTok #Productivity
How to work deeply in a world full of distractions? It’s not about working 12 hours a day. It’s about giving your full attention to one important thing. Start by choosing what really matters. Maybe it’s studying for an exam, writing a report, building your business, creating content, learning a new skill, or solving a difficult problem. Then protect time for it. Put it on your calendar. Keep your phone away. Turn off notifications. Close unnecessary tabs. And most importantly, stop switching between tasks. Start with 30 minutes if that’s all you can manage. Over time, build it to 60, 90 minutes or more. And don’t wait until you feel motivated. Create a routine that tells your brain, “This is my time to focus.” When you finish, take a proper break. Let your brain rest instead of immediately filling the gap with more scrolling. Because deep work isn't about being busy. It’s about using your best attention to do something that actually matters. #WhatAarohiReads #DeepWork #BookReview #Productivity #CarlNewPort
What if the ability to focus deeply becomes one of your biggest advantages? The people who stand out today aren't necessarily the ones working the longest hours. They’re the ones who can learn difficult things quickly and produce high-quality work with speed and focus. That’s why deep work is so valuable. But here’s the problem: deep focus is becoming rare. Emails. Notifications. Meetings. Social media. Constant switching. We can spend 10 hours "working" and still create very little that actually matters. Deep work helps you do the opposite. You stop constantly consuming and give your full attention to learning, thinking, creating, solving and building. And the benefits compound. The more you practice focusing deeply, the better you become at learning difficult things. The better you learn, the better work you can produce. And the better work you produce, the more valuable you become. There’s also something satisfying about it. When you spend real time solving a difficult problem and finally see yourself getting better, work feels more meaningful. So maybe the question isn't: "How many hours did I work today?" It's: "What valuable work did I create with my full attention?" How many hours can you genuinely work deeply in a day? #WhatAarohiReads #DeepWork #BookReview #BookTok #Productivity
