#DearSis The Lord told the people of Israel in Isaiah 60:22, while they were WAITING … He said, “The smallest family will become a thousand people and the tiniest group will become a mighty nation. AT THE RIGHT TIME, I, THE LORD, WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN.” I put the last part in all caps to emphasize it because somebody is discouraged. Somebody is disappointed and losing their faith. Somebody is contemplating doing something stupid, foolish, or crazy. Somebody is already planning to sin because you think it’s going to solve the problem you have. Here’s the thing. It might, but what else will it cost you? Look, I get it. No, I truly get it. I’ve been praying for God to increase my author business with readers and royalties. Then I had to stop and think that maybe it isn’t time yet. Yes, it’s been years but it’s on God’s timing, not mine. So, yeah, I get it. But I also get God. Therefore, I’m choosing to wait. Will you? #DearSis I don’t know why God gave me this word yesterday, but I was obedient to release it. Here’s what God said. You can’t keep telling him he’s not a man while expecting him to be a man. And as I explained, this isn’t for the man-child you’re having to raise. Nawl. This is for the good man who’s trying. The one who shows up. The one whose actions align with his words. The one you can count on and trust. But the moment he’s going through something, falls, fails, or shows emotion, you call him weak. You make him feel less than a man. Why? Because your insecurities, your past, your upbringing, and your lack of mouth control won’t allow you to respond differently. Listen baby, accountability and emasculation are not the same thing. A man can be corrected without being disrespected. He can struggle without being called weak. He can cry without being called soft. He can fail without having his manhood questioned. And constantly having him prove that he’s a man, is only creating an environment he won’t want to be in. So be careful with your words. #DearSis, That’s not anxiety. That’s you being unprepared. And before you get mad at me, hear me out. Sometimes what you’re calling anxiety is really the discomfort of knowing you haven’t done what you needed to do. Understand. Preparation doesn’t guarantee everything will go the way you want. But it can quiet the part of you that knows you could have done more. You know like … being worried about the interview, but you haven’t prepared for the questions. You’re nervous about the presentation, but you haven’t practiced. You’re stressed about the exam, but you haven’t studied. You’re afraid of what’s coming next, but you haven’t sought God for a plan on how to handle what you’ve prayed for. Sis, sometimes you don’t need another prayer point or sign from God. Sometimes you need to prepare. Yes, prayer is important. But after you pray, study, practice, and plan, because faith doesn’t excuse you from preparation. #DearSis God told me to pray for the man/men in your life. I don’t know what prayers he’s been praying or the seeds he waiting to harvest, but I pray he will wait on God. Father, may his faith carry him and his trust in You guide him. God, do it for him so that he lives. Let him hear you. Heal him, deliver him, destroy the unhealthy spirits, let him come out of what he agreed to when he was in sin, shut any door of distraction, bind the hands of the enemy concerning his life, dismantle covenants of darkness, snatch the addiction and heal his heart. Free him God so that he’s free indeed. Cover and protect him. Let him walk in the promise and plan You have for his life. God, lead him so he then can lead others.
