It's been one long and tough time from me being super sickly for a very long time. I've come a long way after being super sickly and having my surgery. May 15th 2024 was my double 🫁 transplant surgery! I am no longer on oxygen I feel free now and I can breath on my own and do the thing's I was stopped from doing for so many year's. I was given a second chance at life again. So today I celebrate my lungaversary exactly a year today since my double lung transplant. I made it this far to a whole year going strong with these new lungs god and my donor gave me. This is a very special and important day for me as it comes with so many different emotions that hit me all at once sad, happy, anxious,frustration excitement, and most importantly blessed. On May 15th 2024 I received the most nerve recking best call ever in my life that I had been waiting for 4 year's. The match of double lungs for me we're found at noonish I was brought down to the O.R. for surgery time. And after that I had been in surgery for over 12+hour's. Going through so many complications through surgery time, but by the grace of god I fought and prayed so hard through my whole journey and while being in surgery I survived through it all. I am here today still thriving and kicking ass as a double lung transplant survivor! Let me tell you this journey hasn't been easy at all so many bumps on the road I've hit and got back up and kept it moving and I will keep on getting up and moving no matter what comes my way. I am a WARRIOR! Always grateful and put GOD first, without him this wouldn't be possible.
