Step one of laying out a basement: marking the front of the house so the homeowner can see where the home, front porch, and carport will sit—and how everything will look when they pull into the driveway and park. We walk the site together and use stakes and blue string to give them a visual of the layout. We’ll share our thoughts on the house’s position and angle, especially with a basement, where the land’s slope can affect the work and the cost. But the homeowner’s vision matters most. We want them to see how their ideas will come together before we start digging. We’re planning to dig next week, then hopefully start the footings and poured basement walls the following week. This is step one in bringing their home to life. “A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.” — Proverbs 16:9 #BasementBuild #HomeBuilding #CustomHomeBuilder #NewConstruction #Construction

Let’s take a walk through this beautiful custom farmhouse! 🏡 This is our Black Creek Plan, and it’s easy to see why so many people have fallen in love with this one. The open floor plan, natural light, colors, finishes, and selections the homeowners put together all came together beautifully. One of our favorite parts of building custom homes is seeing each homeowner take a plan and truly make it their own. We couldn’t be happier with how this home turned out, and we’re incredibly thankful these homeowners trusted HD Builders to bring their vision to life.
