Nana Akua Addo Gets Protection Order As CID Investigates Abuse Allegations Ghana’s Gender, Children and Social Protection Minister, Dr Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has confirmed that the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) is investigating domestic abuse allegations involving actress and fashion icon Nana Akua Addo and her family. The Minister disclosed that a protection order has also been secured for Nana Akua Addo, with the police working to ensure her safety while investigations continue. She added that authorities are prioritising the welfare and safety of the children involved. The development follows the circulation of videos and images allegedly showing Nana Akua Addo with injuries, as well as separate footage purportedly involving one of her children. Nana Akua Addo has appealed to the public and media to stop sharing the material, while her lawyers say the videos were circulated without her consent and that the matter is before the courts. Meanwhile, lawyers for Harold Norman have denied allegations that he assaulted Nana Akua Addo and have offered a different explanation for the injuries seen in the viral footage. They say the matter is also being investigated by DOVVSU. The Gender Ministry has urged the public to refrain from circulating graphic footage or unverified claims as the relevant authorities continue their investigations.
