I’ve been seeing so many videos and opinions and comments - and I feel like the real message is getting lost in the passion behind it all. Whether you believe she did it or didn’t, whether you believe she should be free or locked up for life, whether you believe Patriotism pick was involved or wasn’t. It l DOES NOT ERASE the fact that Lindsay begged for help. She battled her own thoughts and demons for months. She wanted so bad to be a good mom for her children who she clearly loved. We may never actually know the full truth. But what you can not convince me of is that EVERY Time she tried to find help. Something in the system failed her. The doctor that had a month on the job, the SI hotlines that didn’t see her as a threat because she didn’t have a plan, her husband who knew her daily struggles yet focused his attention elsewhere. The dozens of drugs they threw at her… it truly breaks my heart to think that she battled every day to try and “fix herself” and every day it seemed like she was failing. Think back to your absolute worst days. Think about how bad you felt - it is likely that in this scenario it was 100x worse for her. I don’t condone her taking the lives of her children but I do believe mental illness exists and I believe that it pushed her over the edge and so much more could have been done. #lindsayclancey #mentalhealth #kevinreddington #reallife
