Today is our anniversary ❤️ 13 years together, 3 years married. We met over pizza on July 24, 2011. And 13 years later, we’re heading to an “early” 5:30pm dinner (pizza, of course) so we can be home by 7 to get a few hours of TV in before doing our skincare and crawling into bed with our cat, Thomas, by 9:30pm. Our perfect kind of night 💖

…at the same time. Remind us to never do that again 😅🥲 We lived in one small corner of the house while 90% of the rest was covered in plastic and paper. Halfway through, it was a real test of faith for us to keep going. We felt lonely and isolated. Friends and family haven’t fully understood the toll it’s taken on us — living in a state of chaos and disarray, our house literally torn apart at the seams until we’re able to put it back together with our bare hands. Have you started a project only to feel like, midway, you’ll never reach the end? Multiply that by 4 and that’s how we’ve felt all summer. One project, like restoring our 100-year-old windows took 3 months. And every step of the way, it honestly felt like we were making the windows look 100x worse until they finally looked 1,000x better than when we started. Sometimes, though, the biggest transformations aren’t the ones you can see. What looks like a plain and simple, painted wall has a lot more going under the surface. Repairs that have been made to help it last another 100 years. It’s hard to explain, but as the house has changed around us we’ve changed too. As a couple, and as individuals. You can’t see it. But we can feel it. We just went through one of the most profound transformations of our lives. This is Day 588 of renovating our 100-year-old Spanish house. 💞C+B #homereno #homerenovation #homedecorinspo

We took a break from all of our home projects in LA to spend 48 hours in upstate New York 🍎🍎 And we’re shocked to say this was our first time apple picking! Thank you for the most amazing trip to Youthtopia,

some people say centerpieces should be low, but we say let them grow @Miracle Gro 🪴 How to create a living centerpiece: choose a wide, shallow pot, fill it with nutrient-rich potting mix, add your plants (we love the thriller, filler, spiller technique), and feed your centerpiece with Miracle-Gro Organic Liquid Plant Food. We feed all of our plants with this and our garden has never been happier and healthier. #ad #marthasgardencollective
