We outside, but apparently only in shifts. 😭 This is what happens when the vacation finally leaves the group chat and everybody is committed to having a GOOD time… but nobody accounted for the fact that we now require naps between activities. One minute we’re at brunch yelling, “We can sleep when we get home!” The next minute, somebody’s knocked out in the car, at the airport, in the lobby, or anywhere else their body can find a flat surface. At this age, the nap IS part of the itinerary. Which friend are you: the one falling asleep everywhere or the one collecting footage for evidence? I’m not saying the degrees, career, house, or money are bad. I’m proud of what I’ve built. I’m just finally asking myself: Is this what I really want? Travel has completely changed my definition of success. The more of the world I see, the more I realize there are a thousand different ways to build a good life, and maybe we don’t all need the same checklist. Maybe the real midlife crisis is realizing you’ve been living on the default settings. At this age, canceled plans feel like a gift. 😂 I promise we are cool, but between working full-time, school, building a business, traveling, training and trying to have an actual life, an unexpected night with nowhere to be? That’s a blessing. Now I can put my feet up and wiggle my toes, order some food and act like I wasn’t secretly hoping this would happen. Be honest: When somebody cancels plans, are you disappointed or already taking your pants off before they finish the text? 😂 #CanceledPlans #Adulting #ProtectYourPeace #LifeMaxing
