Take 2 My apologies for the repost. Unfortunately, I made an error early this morning (Due to lack of sleep, of course🤣) I created a post instead of a reel. And things are cut off. Last night was my 40th high school reunion from Cardinal Spellman High School . It was absolutely amazing . Seeing so many familiar faces made me very emotional. The student ambassadors who did the tours and hosted us were absolutely amazing. I hope that they take with them the fact that they are part of something very special. I feel sorry for people who did not make a connection with their high school. Whether it’s because they didn’t like the teacher or their fellow students or simply because the school wasn’t the proper fit for them. there is something very special being part of a collective of people who you have so much in common with simply for occupying a building for only four years. Those four years is actually a lifetime of legacy and opportunity that is totally unmatched. That community, a Catholic school in the Bronx turned into something I never expected when I made the decision in eighth grade to choose this as my place. I didn’t realize at the time that I would establish lifelong friendships within my year, as well as outside my year through the Alumni. They’re not just community, they are family. And like family, we don’t always see eye to eye, however, there is a deep connection that no one else can ever sever. We may battle with each other, but there is true love there. We may not always agree politically or socially or even in some life choices. But ultimately, we do have each other‘s back no matter what. We were trying to develop a memorial poster for our 22 classmates who have passed over the years. One most recently in the last couple of months ago. Unfortunately, we couldn’t make it happen in time, but we will definitely do something to honor them respectfully in the future. Everywhere we go! People wanna know! Who we are! So we tell them: We are Spellmanite, Mighty, mighty Spellmanite! And if they can’t hear us, We shout a little louder!
